PULSE OF THE UNIVERSE
SUMMARY
The “Pulse of the Universe” project is an immersive, interactive multimedia experience connecting users to the cosmos through biofeedback. Utilizing real-time data like heart rate, users influence 3D cosmic visuals, enabling a personalized journey through galaxies, stars, and nebulae. This project uses James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) images, bringing authentic space imagery to life. By combining technology, science, and art, it addresses the challenge of engaging the public with space exploration, making it emotionally resonant and fostering curiosity about the universe and personal reflection.

Team
We are a team with different skills and professional backgrounds. One of our professional functions is as a multimedia developer, while another is as Marketing and Management.
What does it do?
The “Pulse of the Universe” project creates a personalized cosmic exploration experience, allowing users to control 3D space visuals through their biofeedback, such as heart rate. By integrating images generated by the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST), users interact with authentic visuals of galaxies, stars, and nebulae, which respond to their physiological signals.
How does it work?
Biofeedback devices capture the user’s pulse, which is then processed to influence cosmic visuals rendered in real time using WebGL and Three.js.
Benefits:
• Engages users emotionally by linking their physiological state to cosmic exploration.
• Makes space exploration interactive and personal.
• Promotes scientific curiosity and provides a meditative experience.
Goals:
To foster a deep connection between users and the universe by blending science, technology, and art, making space exploration accessible and engaging.
Tools, Languages, and Software:
• WebGL and Three.js for 3D rendering.
• JavaScript and Next.js for dynamic interaction.
• Biofeedback integration using APIs for wearables like Apple HealthKit or Google Fit.
• AI tools for real-time data processing and content generation.
USE OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE
Yes, Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools were utilized in the development of the “Pulse of the Universe” project. Here’s how they were used: 1. AI-Generated Content: GPT-3/4 was used to generate personalized descriptions and dynamic narratives during the user’s cosmic exploration, creating a unique educational experience based on user interaction. 2. Real-Time Biofeedback Processing: AI algorithms helped process heart rate data, ensuring accurate, real-time responses in the 3D space visualization. 3. Visual Enhancements: Tools like Runway ML were used to generate AI-enhanced cosmic imagery for the visuals.
